Electrical engineering, more specifically the conversion and application
of electric energy is at the base of the activities of the department
ETEC. Special attention is given to power electronics applications, which are
now present in all walks of life.
ETEC conducts research in this field, among other things around traction converters,
and has a laboratory available allowing experiments on an industrial scale
with a power up to 800 kVA.
ETEC makes its expertise available to interested parties, for giving
specific training around electric traction, and for general consulting in
the field of electrical engineering.
